ARTISTI ROOM

It owes its name to the custom that almost became a practice during the nineteenth-century period of hosting artists, especially sculptors, but also painters, musicians and poets in these rooms. It is even said that the great Michelangelo Buonarroti stayed in the Castle several times during his long stays in nearby Carrara, where he often went to choose the marble blocks suitable for his sculptures.
